Ultrasonic cleaning technology will help remove grime and debris from your aligner, retainer, guard or denture. However, it will not kill the bacteria that has built up during the day or night. If you use a cleaner which solely uses ultrasonic cleaning your oral mouthpiece will be sat in tank full of bacteria and germs. Whilst it may appear to be free from build up and gunk, it will still be teaming with bacteria which can potentially lead to tooth decay and even tooth loss.

It is essential to include UVC light in order to kill the bacteria. The UVC light in the Sonic Pro means that 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and pathogens are also destroyed in the cleaning process.
